Congress to work through weekend on COVID relief
Vaccine deliveries cut, or not, but we have more of them

Congress will blow past shutdown deadline, hope to approve COVID relief over weekend

I wish I still had relevant commentary on this. I only have one hope. Pray for an absence of bad news.

Governors say expected vaccine deliveries cut
THE HILL
The CDC says nothing has been cut it’s just a matter of optimizing logistics. This is unquestionably an area where a strong federal presence with a unified mouthpiece would be very, very helpful.
Also, we might have EXTRA doses because the vaccines have been overfilled.
Weekly jobless numbers at 885,000 as a result of new lockdowns
AXIOS
Funny how this used to be something that would dominate conversation and past the election it’s just kind of a number. Unless you’re one of the 885,000, then it’s a heartbreaking tale of misery at the onset of the holiday season.

Remember how in 2016, Trump was all like “I’ll accept the results of the election if I win.” and the left media was all like “Well, that’s just terrible! Threatening to not accept the results of the election! That’s unspeakable! That’s abominable! That’s an affront to our democracy! This just isn’t the done thing!”
And then Trump won and they spent four years... not accepting the results of the election.
Remember how in 2016 Trump was all like “Lock her up!” and the left media was all like “Well, that’s just terrible! Threatening to prosecute a political opponent after they lose an election! That’s unspeakable! That’s abominable! That’s an affront to our democracy! This just isn’t the done thing!”
And now that Trump’s lost and they’re going to spend four years.... prosecuting a political opponent after they lose an election.
Just super sayin’. - SCALE

Spent 2 of my unspent audible credits on RTD!
Now what do I do with the other 2? Any recommendations? Doesn't have to be political. - KIERAN
If you are interested in roots of 9/11 and the heartbreaking, ultimately fruitless, attempt to stop it I’d recommend The Looming Tower. 2020 has been so dark, why not add another shade of black?

COVID relief bill? I’ve got a bad feeling about this. - YET ANOTHER PILOT

In order to build better transit through the Chicago area, you have to displace thousands of people via imminent domain. It will not go over well, and no politician is willing to pull that trigger. As a result, our mass transit continues to be essentially neuter, in that no one wants to use it other than the few people that already find it convenient.
I live in DeKalb, and could take the train to Chicago, except they decommissioned the station here decades ago, so I have to drive 35 minutes to the nearest train station. Same amount of time to drive downtown, except parking is cheaper if I take the train. - BRIAN
Public transit is the ultimate “different on paper than it is in reality” problems.

It is newsworthy that AOC said maybe the Dems should have new leadership? Everyone is saying that except for the top five Dems. - SEAN W

Maybe I'm soft on crime, but I've never understood the "Trump to jail" talk. It seems to me like the crimes he is accused of don't really warrant jail. I'll say here, that I question the logic, in general, of using taxpayer dollars to incarcerate someone and prevent them from earning taxable income as punishment for not paying taxes. The same goes for other financial crimes, where restitution would better serve the victims. Is there something I'm missing, or is it just about jailing someone they (the people calling for it) don't like? - J. D.

The finale-trial sucked on Seinfeld, but it was great on Bojack Horseman and—of the two—Trump is not a Jerry. - JOHN
And now I’ve been revealed as someone who only watched the first two seasons of Bojack.

Hey Justin, I’m writing from the alternate reality 2020 where Trump used the coronavirus to brand himself as a wartime president, advocating lockdowns and promoting Trump-brand masks across the country. Meanwhile, the progressive left spent 2020 focusing on how lockdowns are prejudicial because minorities are more likely to be labeled "non-essential". Also, the ‘defund the police’ activists joined the fight against lockdowns, because they realized authorizing police to arrest people over curfews and house parties actually makes the police more powerful than ever before.
I am just so sick of Republicans and their racist lockdowns. Anyway, hope things are going well in your timeline. If they're not, don't worry, Andrew Yang will be a great president to set us all back on track. - GLENN
Okay, but is Cyberpunk 2077 playable on PS4 or nah?
