Despite the belief that it is impossible to elect a Democrat statewide in Florida, history reveals that it can be done, as evidenced by President Barack Obama's success in the state in 2012.
However, in recent years, the Republican party has made significant gains in the state, with Governor Ron DeSantis winning by a 20-point margin in the 2020 election.
Despite this, Steve Schale, a Democratic strategist, believes that it is still possible to elect Democrats in Florida, as long as the Democratic party works to increase voter registration and build a presence in the state capital of Tallahassee.
