Epstein Emails! Record Government Shutdown Ends. Are These DOJ Cases DOA?

Back from the grave, metaphorically speaking, Jeffrey Epstein dominated the top of the show. The big story here was the release of a massive batch of emails — first a teaser set from House Democrats, then a full document dump from Republicans on the House Oversight Committee. The Democrats went first, strategically releasing some particularly salacious emails to generate headlines. There was one in particular where Epstein noted “the dog that hasn’t barked is Trump,” and referenced a victim spending hours at Epstein’s house with him. When the GOP released the unredacted version, the “victim” in question was Virginia Giuffre. That’s where things start to get a bit weird.
