The Graham Platner campaign continues to try and mitigate damage from this most recent New York Times report, and so far, Democrats seem to be sticking by his side. Figures like Senator Mark Warner and Representative Ro Khanna have largely settled on the same message: the allegations are disturbing if true, but voters should make the final decision. The campaign, meanwhile, continues to focus on discrediting sources and insisting there was no sexual assault. And what puzzles me is that there is an obvious political playbook available here that nobody seems interested in using.
