The Trump administration is starting to drum up its Strait of Hormuz strategy. Energy Secretary Chris Wright’s message is that traffic through the strait is trending upward. It doesn’t necessarily matter whether it returns to pre-conflict levels because oil and natural gas have already been rerouted through other exits from the Middle East. What matters is that the conversation is about how much traffic is getting through and how little control Iran still has.
