So her complaint was she had to stay on topic and didn't get free reign to talk about Orange Man Bad? This wasn't the interesting part of the story when Biden was falling apart before our eyes.
whether or not you think she was objectively unreasonable or not. the episode was about putting loving each other above all. it was about a son and mother reconciling. "being right" in a family argument isn't worth it sometimes. especially if you value the bond you have with that person.
I haven't listened to the episode yet, but can someone remind me the last time Gloria was on the show? I would like to re-listen to this before today's episode.
Sounds like it has been a challenging year for everyone. My mom was getting in that way before the election too, and the feeling of not being able to help her was difficult. I wish I had asked about her news sources like Jury did.
She was a firm Democrat supporter but the Biden administration Covid censorship and the obvious infirmities and failing health of ancient politicians with the simultaneous deflections and cult of lies to deny them made her convinced they couldn't be allowed in office again. She wrestled with a real disconnect that she could see every word salad, laughing appearance by Harris and stumbling, slow speech by Biden and a majority of Americans could be excited to vote them back in office for another 4 years.
She was ecstatic about the final election results, but now thankfully she has also dialed back the news and doom scrolling too, because the failure of the government to pull back the deficit spending on the budget have soured her on the prospects for change after the initial hope from DOGE, and I think she is exhausted of having her emotions controlled bythings she can't affect until the next midterm and election.

If that’s what you took away from the interview I’d urge you to give it another listen.
Bella and Nona moment definitely made me smile this morning
You wore the finest of shorts for GLO's appearance!
Great episode! Love to G-LO
