I'd like to submit to your and your readers the 1968 Disney musical "The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band" starring Lesley Ann Warren, John Davidson, Buddy Epsen in which a musical family gets split apart by their political divisions over the 1888 election between Cleveland and Harrison. It has family political division, Senate packing by adding states, electoral college vs popular vote, an incumbent losing, all wrapped in a musical package that's fun and joyful. I remember watching this as a kid, it was a family favorite, and it was one of my first introductions to some of these political processes and ideas. - MATTHEW

As someone who has loved politics since I was given party branded toy car when I was 10. I want to say thank you. I think people need to be reminded from time to time that no matter whose in the white house the country will keep being amazing. Politics is just a game! - ROB
Issues are important. Politics is a game.

"You'll be okay." You say that but why am I still hearing missiles fly over as I shower in the morning.
I keep waiting to hear the nukes go off. Heheh. Yeah, you're right, it's just the Millville airport about 15 miles west.
Believe me though, I've been listening for those nukes since day 20 of 2017.I know, I know, I have been playing too much Fallout.
Hey, at least I don't actually doomsday prep! No way to do so. I live paycheck to paycheck. - ESKOBOMB

Just what kind of journalist do you think you are, trying to speak to your audience about “being calm” and all this serenity now stuff? Don’t you know how journalism today works? You’re supposed to tell us all the bad things going on, why the world is ending, and how we need to tune in at 11:00 for more details.
Thanks for not being one of those journalists. - DR WHISKEY

This unity/healing BS every time the left regains power is getting old. The only thing we are healing from is their 4 year long temper tantrum, and we all know the second they are out of power their obstruction superpower turns right back on, the right is full of useless humans as well but I sure wish they would railroad everything they can the next 4 years. The less a government does over all the better off we all are. - PHOENIX
I know most people haven’t been familiar with me as a political pundit for long enough to know different but this is something I desperately hoped would happen in 2016. It’s not a partisan thing. Honestly, I just watched too many normies who aren’t used to ingesting politics 24/7 melt their own brains because they didn’t take advantage of built in breaks in the action.
Let the hot takes fly. But let’s also agree that we aren’t going to die tomorrow.

Can Canadians eat before noon ice cream on the 21st? or is that one of those "No Canadians" type things...that's fine, too cold for ice cream anyway. - KEN
You can. But it has to be an American brand.

I’m going to eat Ice Cream Thursday morning for breakfast. I’m also tired of people being unable to hold two facts in their head at the same time. I’m tired of seeing people on the right pretend that defund the police means the left is hypocrites for supporting the capitol police guarding the capitol and the NG being deployed to protect federal and state buildings. The police’s job is “to protect and serve” the National guards job is to ‘defend the US gains threats domestic and abroad’. In neither case are either of them supposed to corral peaceful protestors, order a dispersal and then beat/arrest them for not leaving because they can’t. In neither case does anyone have the right to shoot a drunk guy that fell asleep at a fast food drive thru. In neither case are the police supposed to shoot a black teen holding a bag of skittles. In neither case are they supposed to choke someone to death for selling loose cigarettes. In both cases they are supposed to protect our democracy, which includes protecting our duly elected officials as they perform their constitutional obligation. The police and military have a role to play. The outrage on the left is when the police go outside of that role. The left, more so than the right it seems, can hold in one hand the fact that cops over step their bounds when they kill people. With their other hand they can smile and wave at police blocking intersections during parades. They can salute community members of the NG deploying to help a hurricane battered city. Defund the police is a call to set a better definition of what the police and military should and should not do. Having an opinion about boundaries and supporting when boundaries are respected and protesting when they are not means that people are holding two facts in their head at the same time. - SEAN

To those wondering where the outrage was at calling in the National Guard for the Trump vs the BLM gathering, I challenge you to find a video of guardsman engaging in behavior like this towards Trump supporters:
Note that this is not an isolated incident. Here are a collection of videos of police escalating to a use of force against BLM protesters.
To those thinking the COVID lockdowns in Democrat run cities was disgusting fear mongering, look up articles where hospital workers in medium to large cities are interviewed, and know that the largest cities are the bluest cities. A lot of us have the privilege to stay far away from the pandemic, so it might not seem bad, it might seem like it doesn’t exist. However, everyone who breaks lockdown is a statistical contributor to spreading the virus, and the people who do get it end up in the hospitals, and our doctors, nurses, and emergency responders have to deal with it. - JOHN
Well, at least we got a happy first half of the feedback section!
