3% (up from 2%) in four polls OR a new hack of 5% in two state polls from Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada or South Carolina. Also 165,000 (up from 130,000) individual donors.
Polls must be released between Sept. 13 and seven days before the November debate which has not been announced yet.
To be fair, these are not as harsh as they could have been. But there is one sticking point, the list of "qualifying polls" which has already been singled out for being too rigid SHRUNK by one poll. NBC/Survey Monkey polls will no longer be counted. This is the real vice grip around the necks of fringe campaigns.
Along with everyone already underwater from the last thresholds (Steyer, Gabbard, Bennet) expect a few more to start scrambling (Booker, Klobuchar, Castro) through October.
