McConnell Out of Rehab. Fauci Held in Contempt. Trump Says No to Birth Tourism.

Will we see McConnell take a vote?

Mitch McConnell has been discharged from a rehabilitation center and will continue recovering at home after a June 14 fall led to hospitalization and an extended Senate absence. The 84-year-old Kentucky Republican says doctors have advised him to maintain an intensive physical therapy regimen during the August recess. He’ll remain engaged with his staff and colleagues, but he hasn’t announced when he plans to return to the Capitol.

It looks like McConnell’s team desperately wanted to make it to the August recess, when the story could disappear from the headlines for more than a month. Andy Beshear, Kentucky’s Democratic governor and a likely presidential candidate, has kept the story alive because fighting McConnell is the war available to him.
