Gas prices have been rising over the past few weeks. They’re higher now than they were in the middle of the summer, when you’d usually expect them to be higher because of driving. They’re still not as bad as what we saw during the Biden administration, but comparison is cold comfort when people are mad about what they’re spending at the pump.
There’s something real in the question JB Pritzker is asking: When are you going to do something that makes me happy? Stop explaining why things I don’t like are happening and start explaining what you did to make them better. Trump was on the right side of public sentiment when he pointed out problems under Biden. What’s gotten him into trouble is applying his own solutions.
