C-SPAN Breaks Through
C-SPAN announced on Wednesday that it had reached a long-awaited deal to stream its three channels on YouTube TV and Hulu’s live television feed. That ends a drawn-out dispute that had severely strained the Public Affairs Network’s revenue in the cord-cutting era. Under the deal, both platforms will pay the same $0.87 per subscriber fee as cable and satellite companies — and C-SPAN will continue to operate with no advertising.
